Lighting in the club centre in the Lieser municipality modernised

Westenergie supports municipality with installation of environmentally friendly LED technology

The local municipality of Lieser is now putting the side rooms of the club centre in Lieser in a contemporary light. Together with Westenergie, the municipality has modernised the luminaires in the side rooms of the premises in an energy-efficient manner. Modern LED technology in the corridors, the sideboard, the sanitary rooms and the club rooms now provide a contemporary and environmentally friendly appearance. Local mayor Jochen Kiesgen and Marco Felten from Westenergie were able to get an impression of the modern lighting technology on site.

Westenergie promotes the retrofitting of the lighting by providing a subsidy for part of the costs and thus supports the municipality of Lieser in saving energy. “With the new, longer-lasting LED technology, we are not only relieving the burden on the municipality’s budget, but also protecting the environment. This is another contribution of the municipality to climate protection,” noted local mayor Kiesgen. “The contemporary modernisation also illuminates the rooms of the association centre better.”

Through the retrofit, the municipality expects to be able to operate the lighting in the premises with significantly less energy from now on compared to the removed lights. This will significantly reduce electricity costs.
