The new park concept of the local municipality of Lieser has been in effect since July 1st, 2022. The parking ban in the designated areas (Moselstraße, Am Markt, Pauls- and Hochstraße up to and including Weidenbornstraße, Kirchstraße and Bärlay up to the cemetery and Zum Niederberg from the playground) has existed since then. Parking is only allowed in the designated areas with authorization (parking permit or parking ticket).
Since not all parking ticket machines have been delivered and set up due to delivery problems, management has so far only been carried out in the Moselstraße area, which is more frequented by tourists. These machines are already activated and in operation according to the statutes. However, the parking ban already applies legally and formally in the entire parking zone. The manufacturer expects that the machines and signs that are still missing will be delivered by mid-August.
Even if the public order office will not carry out any checks until the parking area has been completely equipped with machines and all the missing signs, the municipal administration asks that the ordinance in force since 01.07.22 be observed in the sense of the regulation.
